Hamnet Gauteng South meet on the 1st Thursday of every month at 19h00 in the Clubhouse of the East Rand Branch of the SARL. Commonly known as the ERB Clubhouse. This is located in the Arrowe Park Scout Grounds, in Ebezener St, Alphen Park, Benoni.

The unit is particularly active in sporting events which are used primarily for training and readiness purposes. Historically between 30 to 40 members assist in races such as the Ride for Sight, Mac Steel Carnival City and Emperors classic to name a few.
